Yahweh,

who shall dwell in Your Sanctuary?

Who shall live on Your Holy Hill?

He who walks blamelessly does what is right, and speaks truth in his heart; He who doesn’t slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his friend, nor casts slurs against his fellow man;  In whose eyes a vile man is despised, but who honors those who fear Yahweh; he who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and doesn’t change; he who doesn’t lend out his money for usury, nor take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be shaken.
Psalm 15

Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established. The LORD shall reign for ever and ever.  Exodus 15:17,18

The earth is Yahweh’s, with its fullness; the world, and those who dwell therein.   For he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the floods.   Who may ascend to Yahweh’s hill? Who may stand in his holy place?   He who has clean hands and a pure heart; who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.   He shall receive a blessing from Yahweh, righteousness from the God of his salvation.   This is the generation of those who seek Him, who seek your face—even Jacob. Selah.   Lift up your heads, you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.   Who is the King of glory? Yahweh strong and mighty, Yahweh mighty in battle.   Lift up your heads, you gates; yes, lift them up, you everlasting doors, and the King of glory will come in.  Who is this King of glory? Yahweh of Armies is the King of glory! Selah.  Psalms 24

Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, says: “Yet again they will use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I reverse their captivity: ‘Yahweh bless you, habitation of righteousness, mountain of holiness.’  Judah and all its cities will dwell therein together, the farmers, and those who go about with flocks. For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul.”   Jeremiah 31:23-25

Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation. Oh, deliver me from deceitful and wicked men. For you are the God of my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? Oh, send out your light and your truth. Let them lead me. Let them bring me to your holy hill, To your tents. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my exceeding joy. I will praise you on the harp, God, my God. Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God. Psalms 43

A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.  Psalms 68:5

The mountains of Bashan are majestic mountains. The mountains of Bashan are rugged.  Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains, at the mountain where God chooses to reign? Yes, Yahweh will dwell there forever.  The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands. The Lord is among them, from Sinai, into the sanctuary.  You have ascended on high. You have led away captives. You have received gifts among people, yes, among the rebellious also, that Yah God might dwell there. Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens, even the God who is our salvation. Selah.  God is to us a God of deliverance. To Yahweh, the Lord, belongs escape from death.  Psalm 68:15-20

To him who rides on the heaven of heavens, which are of old; behold, he utters his voice, a mighty voice.  Ascribe strength to God! His excellency is over Israel, his strength is in the skies.  You are awesome, God, in your sanctuaries. The God of Israel gives strength and power to his people. Praise be to God! Psalms 68:33-35

Yahweh,

who shall dwell in Your Sanctuary?

Who shall live on Your Holy Hill?

Every nation and all tribes, peoples, and languages

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. They cried with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”  All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”

One of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are arrayed in the white robes, who are they, and from where did they come?” I told him, “My lord, you know.” He said to me, “These are those who came out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood. Therefore they are before the throne of God, they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them. They will never be hungry, neither thirsty any more; neither will the sun beat on them, nor any heat;  for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them, and leads them to springs of life-giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”  Revelation 7:9-17

Every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation

And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odors, which are the prayers of saints.  And they sung a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for you were slain, and have redeemed us to God by your blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And have made us to our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.   Revelation 5:8-10

“Be it known therefore to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the nations, and they will listen.”   Acts 28:28

ALL peoples

I will bring these to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on my altar; for my house will be called a house of prayer for ALL peoples.”  Isaiah 56:7

mtn4

I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with him a number, one hundred forty-four thousand, having his name, and the name of his Father, written on their foreheads.  I heard a sound from heaven, like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of a great thunder. The sound which I heard was like that of harpists playing on their harps.  They sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand, those who had been redeemed out of the earth. These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb.  In their mouth was found no lie, for they are blameless. Revelation 14:1-5

He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, as if it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal; having a great and high wall; having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels; and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.  Revelation 21:10-12

Yahweh, you are my God. I will exalt you! I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago, in complete faithfulness and truth. For you have made a city into a heap, a fortified city into a ruin, a palace of strangers to be no city. It will never be built. Therefore a strong people will glorify you. A city of awesome nations will fear you.  For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the dreaded ones is like a storm against the wall.  As the heat in a dry place will you bring down the noise of strangers; as the heat by the shade of a cloud, the song of the dreaded ones will be brought low.  In this mountain, Yahweh of Armies will make all peoples a feast of choice meat, a feast of choice wines, of choice meat full of marrow, of well refined choice wines.  He will destroy in this mountain the surface of the covering that covers all peoples, and the veil that is spread over all nations.  He has swallowed up death forever! The Lord Yahweh will wipe away tears from off all faces. He will take the reproach of his people away from off all the earth, for Yahweh has spoken it.  It shall be said in that day, “Behold, this is our God! We have waited for him, and he will save us! This is Yahweh! We have waited for him. We will be glad and rejoice in his salvation!”  For in this mountain Yahweh’s hand will rest. Moab will be trodden down in his place, even like straw is trodden down in the water of the dunghill.  He will spread out his hands in the middle of it, like one who swims spreads out hands to swim, but his pride will be humbled together with the craft of his hands. He has brought the high fortress of your walls down, laid low, and brought to the ground, even to the dust.  Isaiah 25

In that day, Yahweh’s branch will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the beauty and glory of the survivors of Israel.  It will happen, that he who is left in Zion, and he who remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Jerusalem;   when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from within it, by the spirit of justice, and by the spirit of burning.  Yahweh will create over the whole habitation of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. There will be a pavilion for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a refuge and for a shelter from storm and from rain.  Isaiah 4:2-6

Mount Zion

May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high, send you help from the sanctuary, grant you support from Zion,  remember all your offerings, and accept your burned sacrifice. Selah.  May He grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your counsel.  We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May Yahweh grant all your requests.  Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.  Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust the name of Yahweh our God.  They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright.   Save, Yahweh! Let the King answer us when we call! Psalms 20

It will happen that, before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.  The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. Dust will be the serpent’s food. They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain,” says Yahweh.  Isaiah 65:24,25

Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised, in the city of our God, in his holy mountain.  Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the north sides, the city of the great King.  God has shown himself in her citadels as a refuge. For, behold, the kings assembled themselves, they passed by together.  They saw it, then they were amazed. They were dismayed. They hurried away. Trembling took hold of them there, pain, as of a woman in travail. With the east wind, you break the ships of Tarshish.  As we have heard, so we have seen, in the city of Yahweh of Armies, in the city of our God. God will establish it forever. Selah.  We have thought about your loving kindness, God, in the middle of your temple.  As is your name, God, so is your praise to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice, Because of your judgments.  Walk about Zion, and go around her. Number its towers. Mark well her bulwarks. Consider her palaces, that you may tell it to the next generation. For this God is our God forever and ever. He will be our guide even to death. Pslams 48

His foundation is in the holy mountains.   Yahweh loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.   Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Selah.   I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me. Behold, Philistia, Tyre, and also Ethiopia: “This one was born there.”   Yes, of Zion it will be said, “This one and that one was born in her;” the Most High himself will establish her.   Yahweh will count, when he writes up the peoples, “This one was born there.” Selah.   Those who sing as well as those who dance say, “All my springs are in you.” Psalms 87

Yahweh reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim. Let the earth be moved.  Yahweh is great in Zion. He is high above all the peoples.  Let them praise your great and awesome name. He is Holy!   The King’s strength also loves justice. You do establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.  Exalt Yahweh our God. Worship at his footstool. He is Holy!   Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on Yahweh, and he answered them.  He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies, the statute that he gave them.  You answered them, Yahweh our God. You are a God who forgave them, although you took vengeance for their doings.  Exalt Yahweh, our God. Worship at his holy hill, for Yahweh, our God, is holy! Psalms 99

The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me.  Yahweh of Armies says: “I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.”  Yahweh says: “I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the middle of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called ‘The City of Truth;’ and the mountain of Yahweh of Armies, ‘The Holy Mountain.’”   Yahweh of Armies says: “Old men and old women will again dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.  The streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.”   Yahweh of Armies says: “If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes?” says Yahweh of Armies.   Yahweh of Armies says: “Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country; and I will bring them, and they will dwell within Jerusalem; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.”   Yahweh of Armies says: “Let your hands be strong, you who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets who were in the day that the foundation of the house of Yahweh of Armies was laid, even the temple, that it might be built.  For before those days there was no wages for man, nor any wages for an animal; neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary. For I set all men everyone against his neighbor.  But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days,” says Yahweh of Armies.  “For the seed of peace and the vine will yield its fruit, and the ground will give its increase, and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.  It shall come to pass that, as you were a curse among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you shall be a blessing. Don’t be afraid. Let your hands be strong.”  For Yahweh of Armies says: “As I thought to do evil to you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath,” says Yahweh of Armies, “and I didn’t repent;  so again I have thought in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah. Don’t be afraid.  These are the things that you shall do: speak every man the truth with his neighbor. Execute the judgment of truth and peace in your gates, and let none of you devise evil in your hearts against his neighbor, and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate,” says Yahweh.  The word of Yahweh of Armies came to me.  Yahweh of Armies says: “The fasts of the fourth, fifth, seventh, and tenth months shall be for the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts. Therefore love truth and peace.”  Yahweh of Armies says: “Many peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come; and the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying, ‘Let’s go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of Armies. I will go also.’  Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of Armies in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.” Yahweh of Armies says: “In those days, ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, ‘We will go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”  Zechariah 8

Mount Zion 1

For Yahweh has chosen Zion. He has desired it for his habitation.  “This is my resting place forever. Here I will live, for I have desired it.  Psalm 132:13,14

But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels,  to the festal gathering and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel.  See that you don’t refuse him who speaks. For if they didn’t escape when they refused him who warned on the earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,  whose voice shook the earth then, but now he has promised, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens.”  This phrase, “Yet once more”, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain.  Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can’t be shaken, let’s have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,  for our God is a consuming fire.  Hebrews 12:22-29

Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.  He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.  He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.  Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.  You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.  Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever.  Psalm 23

It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go out, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem.   He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.  House of Jacob, come, and let’s walk in the light of Yahweh.  Isaiah 2:2-5

But in the latter days, it will happen that the mountain of Yahweh’s temple will be established on the top of the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills; and peoples will stream to it.  Many nations will go and say, “Come! Let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the law will go out of Zion, and Yahweh’s word from Jerusalem;  and he will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations afar off. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war any more.  But they will sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and no one will make them afraid: For the mouth of Yahweh of Armies has spoken.  Indeed all the nations may walk in the name of their gods; but we will walk in the name of Yahweh our God forever and ever.  “In that day,” says Yahweh, “I will assemble that which is lame, and I will gather that which is driven away, and that which I have afflicted; and I will make that which was lame a remnant, and that which was cast far off a strong nation: and Yahweh will reign over them on Mount Zion from then on, even forever.”  You, tower of the flock, the hill of the daughter of Zion, to you it will come, yes, the former dominion will come, the kingdom of the daughter of Jerusalem.  Now why do you cry out aloud? Is there no king in you? Has your counselor perished, that pains have taken hold of you as of a woman in travail?  Be in pain, and labor to give birth, daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail; for now you will go out of the city, and will dwell in the field, and will come even to Babylon. There you will be rescued. There Yahweh will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.  Now many nations have assembled against you, that say, “Let her be defiled, and let our eye gloat over Zion.” But they don’t know the thoughts of Yahweh, neither do they understand his counsel; for he has gathered them like the sheaves to the threshing floor.  Arise and thresh, daughter of Zion; for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs brass; and you will beat in pieces many peoples: and I will devote their gain to Yahweh, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth.   Micah 4

Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. Yahweh, you preserve man and animal. Psalms 36:6

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.  Psalms 97:2b

“My servant David will be king over them. They all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them.  They will dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers lived. They will dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children’s children, forever. David my servant will be their prince forever.  Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them. It will be an everlasting covenant with them. I will place them, multiply them, and will set my sanctuary among them forever more.  My tent also will be with them. I will be their God, and they will be my people.  The nations will know that I am Yahweh who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is among them forever more.”  Ezekiel 37:24-28

‘I will have respect for you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish my covenant with you.   You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall move out the old because of the new.   I will set my tent among you, and my soul won’t abhor you.  I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you will be my people.  I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves. I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright.  Leviticus 26:9-13

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:15-17

One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls, who were loaded with the seven last plagues came, and he spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the wife, the Lamb’s bride.”  He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,  having the glory of God. Revelation 21:9-11

Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel.   And the LORD shall cause his glorious voice to be heard, and shall shew the lighting down of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones.

Isaiah 30:29-30
